At the Ukraine Centre, we understand the importance of mastering the English language for effective communication in various aspects of life. Our English courses are meticulously designed to help you achieve fluency and confidence in English. With small class sizes and a comprehensive curriculum, we cater to learners from beginners to intermediate levels, ensuring personalized attention and effective learning.

 

Our English courses are conducted in small classes of no more than 14 students. This setup allows for personalized attention, enabling instructors to focus on the individual needs of each student. This ensures a more tailored and effective learning experience.

We offer a well-rounded curriculum that covers all essential aspects of language learning. Our courses include reading comprehension, listening comprehension, grammar, vocabulary usage, speaking, and essay writing. This comprehensive approach ensures that students develop a balanced proficiency in all language skills.

Our primary goal is to equip learners with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Through interactive exercises and practical applications, students learn to use the language confidently in various real-life situations.

Our team of experienced instructors is dedicated to helping you succeed in your language learning journey. They use proven teaching methods and provide continuous feedback, ensuring that you make steady progress. 

Beginners Class

Schedule: Thursday, 2pm through 4pm

Location: Avenue de l’Eglise Anglaise 1, 1005

Content: This class focuses on basic conversational skills, vocabulary building, and introductory grammar. It is ideal for those who are new to English or have minimal exposure to the language. 

Intermediate Class

Schedule: Sunday, 2pm

Location: Avenue de l’Eglise Anglaise 1, 1006 Lausanne

Content:  Designed for students with a basic understanding of English, this class delves deeper into conversational practice, advanced grammar, and vocabulary enhancement. It aims to improve fluency and comprehension skills. 

Intermediate Class

Schedule: Sunday, 2pm through 4pm

Location: Avenue de Rumine 26, 1005 Lausanne

Content: This class focuses on basic conversational skills, vocabulary building, and introductory grammar. It is ideal for those who are new to English or have minimal exposure to the language. 

Advanced Class

Schedule: Thursday, 2pm through 4pm

Location: Avenue de la Prairie 40, 1800 Vevey

Content: This class focuses on basic conversational skills, vocabulary building, and introductory grammar. It is ideal for those who are new to English or have minimal exposure to the language. 

Key Components of Our English Courses

  • Reading Comprehension

    Our courses include various reading exercises that help improve your ability to understand written English. This involves reading short stories, articles, and other engaging texts that are both educational and interesting.

  • Listening Comprehension

    Listening exercises are an integral part of our curriculum. Students enhance their ability to understand spoken English through listening to conversations, audio clips, and recordings, followed by discussions and comprehension questions.

  • Grammar and Vocabulary

    Grammar and vocabulary form the backbone of language learning. Our courses cover the rules of English grammar and how to apply them in writing and speaking. Vocabulary exercises help expand your word bank, making it easier to communicate effectively.

  • Speaking

    Speaking exercises are a core component of our English courses. Through role-plays, discussions, and presentations, students practice speaking English in a variety of contexts. This helps build confidence and improve fluency.

  • Essay Writing

    To develop writing skills, students engage in essay writing exercises. This includes writing short essays on various topics, which helps improve their ability to express ideas clearly and coherently in English.
